Here are some frequently asked questions associated with Torqata.

Data gathering and privacy

We have strict data firewalls (data encryption and privacy) in place – Torqata data is not shared with ATD or any other company.

Your data will never be shared with anyone in a personally identifiable way. You will, of course, see your own retailer data in the recommendations made for you by the Torqata platform tools, but only you will see this.

In the future, thousands of retailers’ data may be aggregated, anonymized and shared as part of broader market insights back to you and other Torqata customers, but this in no way will be personally identifiable.

SOC2 (System and Organization Controls 2) is a type of audit report that attests to the trustworthiness of solutions provided by a service organization. It is the leading independent certification commonly used to assess the risks associated with SaaS solutions that handle sensitive or otherwise non-public customer and consumer data. Torqata is SOC2 certified by Grant Thornton, adhering to strict standards around Data and Infrastructure Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality and Privacy (including CCPA compliance).

POS Providers

We currently support 7 POS providers (Tire Guru; RO Writer; Andreoli; ASA; Protractor; TCS (Tire-works); FreedomSoft (TireShop)) and are rapidly adding more.

Profit Expert

Profit Expert will run a calculation on your trailing 12 months of sales history as a baseline, taking into account what brands you want to align yourself with and whether you want to grow or shrink those brands. The result is a strategy that makes the best, or optimized, combination of your sales to get you a higher profit on the front-end and back-end.
Torqata can still deploy the analytics solutions for you with as little as 4 months of historical data. Just know that in this case your historical baseline will be less than the trailing 12 months.
Profit Expert can not only take into account your brand preferences, but it can also advise you generally which brands you might want to consider stocking to consider your profit potential.
Based on your cost and sale prices, we calculate the average margin for each style of tire you sell, and roll that up to the brand level to get you an average margin percentage and average margin dollar by brand.

Market Price Explorer

Yes. Market Price Explorer does compare prices from eCommerce stores to give you a true representation of the range of prices that your customer may be able to pay for a given tire. Tire retailers that sell exclusively online, as well as other retailers such as Amazon, Walmart and ebay, are included in the National Price calculation.
Privacy is important to Torqata. Your name is not shown in the local retail prices, just as no names of local competition are shown to you. Prices are highly aggregated (hundreds and thousands of stores), anonymized and averaged so that no retailer is personally identifiable to their local competition.
Your Price is an average of the price for the last 90 days for each product in your POS. This is to help avoid showing a price that is lower than what you would normally charge due to a discount/promotion.

Category Compass

We compare your sales to Market Demand and ATD’s shipments to show where there are gaps in your sales mix. Tires that you don’t sell, but that have a high performance in Market Demand and ATD sales, will negatively affect your Market Coverage score.
Yes. Category Compass will give you recommendations for all of the stores that you include on the platform. It will also give you information for locations that you might be thinking of opening a store in in the future.

Demand Navigator

Demand Navigator will have a beta launch in January 2021. If you are interested in participating, please email: contact@torqata.com. The general launch of the product is scheduled for the beginning of 2021.
Demand Navigator will show you a clear read out of how your campaign performed after one month.

Demo / Webinars

Demos are done every two weeks, and customers can sign up for a demo event on the request a demo page where they will press “Request a Demo”.
The webinar will go over all the tools in more detail that you can find on https://torqata.com/pages/help-center . If there is enough demand for a single product, the webinar will be tailored to the audience. Our goal with the webinars is to ensure that any questions you have are answered.
